How do scrap aluminum buyers
estimate your aluminum scrap
Sources for recycled
aluminum include aircraft, automobiles,
bicycles, boats, computers, cookware, gutters,
siding, wire, and many other products that
require a strong light weight material, or a
material with high thermal conductivity. As
recycling does not damage the metal's
structure, aluminum can be recycled
indefinitely and still be used to produce any
product for which new aluminum could have been
used ( Reference: Encyclopedia)
Aluminum is the second most recycled metal in
the world, after iron.
Forms of
recyclable aluminum:
UBC - The
aluminum beverage cans - They should be empty
of liquid Automotive aluminum - The
aluminum from a vehicle, as the wheel trims.
Alumifoil - The aluminum foil ( usually used
in the kitchen) Utensil scrap - The
aluminum in your kitchen utensils
Industrial aluminum - Aluminum scraps from
manufacturing different products
The
aluminum that contains iron is called ferrous
aluminum and it is usually less valuable. If
the aluminum attracts a magnet, then
you have ferrous aluminum.
Scrap
aluminum buyers will pay a certain price for
UBC and different prices on the other types
depending on the existence or percentage of
iron in each item.
To get the most
cash out of your collected aluminum, sort it
and then take it to the scrap yard.
